The Mayor and Village Board of Trustees encourages economic development efforts in order to strengthen the Village's tax base, create jobs and stimulate and promote availability of new areas of commercial development while maintaining a high level of support to existing business.  Building upon the recommendations in the Village's Economic Development Plan, this Economic Development Incentive Policy is to outline parameters for which the Village of Cary may provide assistance to achieve its economic development goals.  Click on the link below to view the Policy.

                                                    Village Economic Development Incentives Policy

The Village of Cary has established a low interest loan program in order to stimulate economic growth in the Village of Cary by assisting with the retention and growth of the existing industrial and commercial base, providing needed capital to new start-up businesses, encouraging the development of minority and female owned businesses and providing an incentive for established businesses to relocate to Cary.  The program may assist with site development/infrastructure extension costs, construction of new facilities or additions, renovation of existing facilities, leasehold improvements, purchase of new equipment, and working capital. For every $15,000 loaned, the program requires that one full time equivalent job be created with a minimum of 51 percent low-to-moderate income benefit. For additional information on the program and application requirements contact the Community Development Department at 847.639.1100.
