The Finance Department is responsible for the Village’s water and sewer utility bills. In addition to accepting payments, the department can respond to questions about your billings, services and requests for utility connections or disconnections.

Billing Cycles

The Village of Cary water & sewer bills are generated six (6) times per year, in all the even months of the year.  The Village of Cary water & sewer bills are billed the first working day of the billing month, and due on the last working day of the billing month. Bills are delinquent if not paid by the due date indicated on your bill.

Water and Sewer Rate Study 2017

The 2017 rate study completed by the Village decreased the 2018 water rate per 1,000 gallons of use. The 2017 rate study led to a slight increase in the sewer rate per 1,000 gallons of use and an increase in the monthly user fee. The current Village ordinance calls for a 5% increase in the water, sewer and user rates on the following dates: May 1, 2019, May 1, 2020, May 2, 2021, and May 1, 2022. Water and sewer rates help pay for the cost of providing service, capital debt payments and aggressive capital investment into infrastructure improvements to the Village utility system.
