Care Trak

Overview
The McHenry County Mental Health Board operates a program called Care Trak, which assist families and law enforcement in tracking certain persons who have been reported missing. Care Trak is a mobile tracking system that uses a radio frequency wrist band to locate the missing person. The Cary Police Department has been provided the equipment to conduct a mobile track.

Eligible residents include those who have been diagnosed with Autism, Alzheimer's, Dementia, Psychotic Disorder, TBI, or a developmental disability and reside in one of the participating communities. Current communities using Care Trak are Cary, Crystal Lake, Huntley, and unincorporated McHenry County. Individuals wishing to participate in the program should apply to the McHenry County Mental Health Board, which administers the program.
