Parkway Ash Tree Removal Program
As a result of the regional infestation of the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB), the Village completed removal of all 1,800 ash trees from the public right-of-way in 2015. This represents approximately 28% of the Village's 6,500 total trees in the urban forest. Please note that ash trees on private property are the responsibility of the individual owner.
Other Parkway Tree Removals
As a Tree
City USA community, the Village of Cary's policy is to remove only dead
or unhealthy parkway trees. If you suspect the parkway tree adjacent to
your property is sick or dying, please contact Public Works for an
assessment at 847-639-0003, or at . Staff will perform an on-site review of the overall health of the tree and provide a plan of action, if warranted.
