How do I sign up for watching my house while I'm on vacation?: Contact the Cary Police Department and request a House Check. The Police Department will add your residence to their list and make an attempt to check the exterior of your home every day. There is no guarantee that a check will be made every day, but depending on the number of calls the officers are handling, the officers will make every effort to do so. House checks are limited to a maximum of 30 days.
