Are there size requirements for my brush pile?
Yes. Branches and limbs placed out by the curb for collection must be between 2 to 8 inches in diameter and at least 4 feet long. In addition, the volume brush that is set out for pickup should be no larger than what would fit into the back of a standard pickup truck. This size is equivalent to approximately 8 feet x 4 feet x 4 feet. The MINIMUM length of brush that can be accepted is 4 feet long. This is a safety requirement because the brush is put directly into a chipper. Larger piles will be subject to special collection fees - call the Public Works Department for a quote.Click here for more information.
